Hard-to-reach and High-level area cleaning
Hard-to-reach and high-level areas can be difficult to maintain as part of your general cleaning and maintenance regimes, as specialist equipment and high-level access training are essential to minimise health and safety risks. Unfortunately, dirt, dust, debris, and cobwebs build up in these areas which can impact the level of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene within a building.
Our high reach cleaning equipment such as SkyVac is designed to be operated from ground level. Whilst cherry pickers, scissor lifts, access platforms, booms, and scaffold towers can be deployed when our professional and highly skilled operatives need to work directly at height. Our experience and resources allow us to adapt and deliver a practical approach to meet any client’s need and building environment.

Projects
Exterior High-Level Façade Cleaning
Project Brief
The discolouration of the building on the Isle of Wight had progressively deteriorated. Our client had previously considered and applied alternative methods of cleaning which failed to achieve their desired outcome. This resulted in exploring alternative methods of cleaning, to bring the Exterior façade back to its former glory. Top Mops being the incumbent were then approached by Vestas to find an alternative cleaning solution. With the project having only 5 working days from launch to completion, to then showcase the building to its full potential for an investor. We then prepared a comprehensive project plan for Exterior Façade Cleaning.
Solution
Our site visit for Exterior Façade Cleaning concluded that the building required a biocidal treatment to be applied with steam, on a building that exceeds 27 metres. In addition we arranged the required MWEPS and cleaning machinery to be on site within 48 hours of project approval. Our client focused approach was essential when programming our for Exterior Façade Cleaning working schedule, as the site is operational 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. This played a major part in the planning, factoring this into the project programme.
Outcome
This project was highly effective in meeting the desired outcome of the project brief, bringing the Exterior Façade back to its former glory.
Interior High-Level Cleaning
Project Brief
Following the success of our exterior cleaning project with Vestas, we were re-approached when they required a full high-level clean of the interior ducting and pipework. To ensure Vesta’s exceptionally high standards of cleanliness are maintained they explained that the factory experienced a build up of red dust at high level that required removal. We are fully trained with working at height and our previous work with Vestas gave us valuable insight into the types of access equipment and machinery that was required. Having previously completed many warehouse cleans, our teams hold the skills and training to complete interior commercial cleaning services to the highest of standards.
Solution
Our site visit for the interior cleaning project concluded that the building required use of our SkyVac 78 Internal Cleaning machine with the additional use of cherry pickers and scissor lifts for hard to reach areas. Our client focused approach was essential when programming our Interior Cleaning working schedule, as the Vesta’s site is operational 24 hours a day, 7 day a week. This played a major part in the planning of this project, factoring this into the Internal Cleaning programme.
Outcome
This project was highly effective in meeting the desired outcome of the project brief, bringing the interior ducting and pipework back to its former glory, removing the red dust.
