On Thursday 7th November 2025, members of the Top Mops Group – including colleagues from both Top Mops Cleaning & Facilities and Top Mops Event Services – took part in a special CPR awareness session delivered by Natalie Russell, Supporter Engagement Officer at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA).
The session, held at our head office, aimed to equip our team with vital life-saving knowledge and boost confidence in responding to an emergency. Attendees included Gemma, Shannon, Perry, Contract Manager Paula, Head of Business James, Head of Training & Standards Sarah, and company directors Craig and Josh.
Loren, who has long been part of the wider Top Mops family, also joined the training and helped keep spirits high – even giving our CPR mannequin the name “Peter”!

Natalie’s training combined practical demonstrations with simple, effective guidance on performing CPR and using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). At the start of the session, most of the team rated their confidence level at just 1–2 out of 5. By the end, that had risen to an impressive 4–5, showing just how valuable and empowering the training was.
While the session was informative and hands-on, it also provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the incredible work carried out by HIOWAA. The charity provides a vital emergency service across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, bringing hospital-level care directly to the scene of critical incidents. Their highly skilled crew can perform complex medical procedures such as amputations or open-heart surgery roadside if required – making a lifesaving difference when every second counts.

Natalie also shared updates on the charity’s upcoming move from Andover to Southampton, a change that will strengthen their operations and enable them to reach more people, more efficiently. Importantly, HIOWAA receives no government funding, relying entirely on donations and community support to keep flying and saving lives.
At Top Mops, we’re incredibly proud to support HIOWAA as our company charity, and we’re grateful to Natalie for giving her time to deliver this valuable session free of charge.
Training like this helps ensure that our teams – whether working in schools, offices, or major event venues across the UK – have the awareness and confidence to act in an emergency. It’s all part of our ongoing commitment to safety, wellbeing, and community support.
