Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Policy Statement

Modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of human rights, manifesting in various forms including slavery, servitude, forced labour, and human trafficking. All these forms involve the deprivation of an individual’s freedom for personal or commercial gain. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to ethical and transparent practices across all areas of our business. This includes maintaining robust systems to ensure that modern slavery does not occur within our operations or supply chains.

We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners. Our policy applies to everyone working for or on behalf of our company, including employees, directors, officers, agency workers, volunteers, interns, consultants, contractors, and business partners.

Scope

This policy applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of the company, in any capacity. It is also shared with our supply chain to promote awareness and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

– Board of Directors: The overall responsibility for ensuring this policy is upheld rests with the Board of Directors, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations.

– Managing Director: The Managing Director is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of this policy, including monitoring its effectiveness and handling queries or concerns.

– Managers and Supervisors: All managers are responsible for ensuring their teams understand and comply with this policy. Regular training on modern slavery risks in supply chains must be provided.

Compliance

Every employee and individual working on our behalf must:

– Read and understand the policy.

– Report any concerns or suspicions regarding modern slavery at the earliest possible stage.

– Avoid engaging in or being associated with any activities that violate this policy.

Any suspected violations should be reported to your line manager or the Managing Director immediately.

Reporting Concerns

We encourage a culture of openness, and employees or stakeholders can raise concerns without fear of retaliation. Reports can be made confidentially through our whistleblowing channels. In instances where breaches are identified within our supply chain, we may work with suppliers to address the issues, prioritizing the welfare and safety of workers.

Training & Awareness

Training on modern slavery risks will be provided to all staff to ensure awareness and compliance. This policy will be communicated to all contractors, suppliers, and business partners at the outset of our relationship and reinforced as necessary.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

Any employee found to be in breach of this policy may face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for gross misconduct. Similarly, any third-party partners found in violation of this policy may face termination of the business relationship.

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant and effective in addressing the risks of modern slavery.
